Bay Street Orthopaedics & Spine, a leading orthopaedic practice in Northern Michigan, is pleased to announce the addition of a distinguished orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Kyle Hazelwood, to its team. Dr. Hazelwood is board certified and fellowship-trained in sports medicine and arthroscopy, further contributing to the high levels of orthopaedic specialization that patients can expect from Bay Street Orthopaedics & Spine.

After graduating from medical school at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine (Maywood, IL), Dr. Hazelwood completed his orthopaedic residency at the University of Chicago (Chicago, IL) and further specialized in arthroscopy and sports medicine with a fellowship at the San Diego Arthroscopy & Sports Medicine Fellowship (San Diego, CA). Dr. Hazelwood has also served in the United States Air Force as an active duty orthopaedic surgeon in the Luke Air Force Base 56th Medical Group. Most recently, Dr. Hazelwood has supported the athletes of several collegiate and professional sports teams as a team physician. He states, “I am extremely honored to join the team at Bay Street Orthopaedics and Spine. My family is very excited to move back to my wife’s home state of Michigan. My subspeciality training is in orthopaedic sports medicine and arthroscopy, and for the last several years I have been working as a team physician for Division I college athletic teams. I look forward to serving the community of Northern Michigan, and to helping keep everyone from the competitive athlete to the weekend warrior stay active and doing the things they love.”
