Special Interests
Dr. Anderson and his family love living in northern Michigan, appreciating the phenomenal opportunities to engage in outdoor activities and with the surrounding community.
“I am always impressed by the resiliency of my patients. People here just want to get better and get on with their lives. I am a total joint specialist, so my entire practice is focused on relieving pain from hip and knee degenerative conditions as well as taking care of patients who failed a first time joint replacement and need revision surgery. Taking care of these needs for this community is incredibly rewarding. I aim to take care of my patients the same way I would want my family cared for.
I am proud to be at Bay Street Orthopaedics & Spine. My partners and I pride ourselves on providing the best, highest quality, and most up-to-date subspecialty orthopaedic care in northern Michigan. We live in a very active community, and we at Bay Street want to keep our patients as pain-free and mobile as possible. At Bay Street, we put our patients first and foremost. We have been a part of the community for 50 years, and we look forward to carrying this forward into the future.”
Now offering Prescribe FIT – A Lifestyle Coaching Program
Small Lifestyle Changes Can Make a Big Impact on Your Joint Health
Bay Street Orthopaedics & Spine now offers a virtual lifestyle health coaching program called Prescribe FIT to further our commitment to providing high-quality, comprehensive orthopedic care. We believe that traditional medicine—when paired with simple changes to nutrition, physical activity, and lifestyle—can have a transformative impact on our patients’ overall health.
Why Prescribe FIT?
With Prescribe FIT, our patients will be paired with a health coach who will provide personalized guidance to improve their health at home by focusing on the root causes of their orthopedic conditions. This innovative lifestyle health coaching program focuses on improving each patient’s daily habits—such as nutrition and physical activity—to build sustainable healthy practices that will help our patients reduce pain, improve mobility, decrease weight, and better prepare for and recover from surgery. These lifestyle modifications are especially valuable for musculoskeletal issues, where weight loss is a leading recommendation for improving chronic conditions.
Eligible for Insurance Coverage
Prescribe FIT is also covered by insurance through Medicare, Medicaid, and most commercial insurance carriers. Our team can help patients confirm their benefits eligibility and financial responsibility prior to enrollment.
