M. Yvette Short, NP-BC

Yvette graduated with her Masters in Nursing in 2016 from Indiana University-Purdue University in Indianapolis, Indiana. She is credentialed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (AANC) as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of the Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioners (MICNP) and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

Her background includes emergency medicine care as a nurse for ten years at a Level 1 Trauma Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. She worked as a travel nurse for the INDYCAR series and in air medicine. She was born in Texas and moved to northern Michigan four years ago from Indianapolis, Indiana. She comes to us from Emergency Care Specialists, having worked at McLaren Northern Michigan for the past three years in their emergency department. She has a vast knowledge of acute care pathologies as well as medical procedures including, but not limited to, the care and management of traumatic injuries and lacerations; joint injections and aspirations; orthopedic fractures, dislocations, and reductions under conscious sedation.

Yvette lives in Boyne City with her husband and German Shepherd fur kids. She enjoys college football, traveling, and outdoor activities including hiking, biking, and water sports.
